The project will upgrade the 154 kilometers waterway to 2,000-ton level and extend the Xiang River national high-grade waterway to Hengyang.

The project won the third prize of Excellent Consulting in Water Transportation Engineering; the first prize of Excellent Design of Water Transportation in 2020-2021; the first prize of Excellent Engineering Consulting Achievements in Hunan Province; the third prize of Excellent Projects in Surveying, Mapping and Geographic Information of Hunan Province; the second prize of Excellent Engineering Survey in 2017; and the first prize of Hunan Province Excellent Engineering Survey Award in 2019.
