he Shenzhen Bay Bridge in Guangdong is a cable-stayed bridge that was completed and opened to traffic in July 2007. It is our country's first cross-sea land channel connecting the mainland and Hong Kong. It was also the widest single-cable-plane and cable-stayed bridge in the world at that time. It was also the widest highway bridge in China with the longest design life and the highest construction standards. Therefore, it was known as the “Rainbow on the Sea”.
