孟加拉拉杰沙希地表水处理厂项目是习近平主席2016年10月访问孟加拉国时，在两国领导人见证下，列入“一带一路”重点项目清单的项目，在当前孟加拉国民生项目清单中名列前茅，并由中国优惠出口买方信贷提供资助，该项目将在戈达加里拟建地表水处理厂，包括拉杰沙希市内的取水口、常规处理厂、处理水输送干管、增压泵站和一级和二级配水管网的建设。在拉杰沙希供水和污水管理局（WASA）和湖南建工集团（HCEG）的支持下，该项目已于2023年7月开工。项目建成后，将为拉杰沙希市及其周边地区提供约200 MLD（20万立方米/天）的纯净水，有效解决拉杰沙希地区的生活用水和工业用水问题，改善当地基础设施和民生。

*The Rajshahi Surface Water Treatment Plant project, funded by Chinese Preferential Export Buyer's Credit loan, spotlighted during Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to Bangladesh in 2016 as a key endeavor under the BRI, tops the list of essential livelihood projects in Bangladesh. According to the plan, a new water treatment plant comprised of an intake, a conventional treatment plant, treated water transmission mains, a booster pump station and primary & secondary distribution network will be built up in Godagari. Under the aegis of Rajshahi Water Supply & Sewerage Authority (WASA) and Hunan Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (HCEG), the project has commenced in July, 2023. When completed, the plant will supply two hundred million liter clean water on daily basis to Rajshahi city and its surrounding areas, thereby effectively solve the domestic and industrial water problems and improve local people's livelihood.
