The lock layout of this project is the first time in China that a fishway is arranged adjacent to a ship lock, and it is the first integrated design scheme for the main structure of the ship lock and fishway. The project adopts the partition wall in the form of partitioned isolation piles + cap beams, and arranges maintenance pump rooms and electric steel cover plates in the ship lock project.

The project won the first prize of Hunan Province Excellent Design Award.
