With a total construction area of approximately 18,000 square meters, this competitive wrestling stadium can hold 20,000 spectators as the first modernized wrestling stadium in Africa. After its completion, Chinese President Xi Jinping handed over the “Golden Key” of the project to the Presidents of Senegal, which becomes a new symbol of China-Senegal friendship.

The project was awarded the highest medal of honor by the Senegalese government, the first China Construction Engineering Luban Award (Overseas Engineering) in Hunan, gold medal of China Steel Structure.
