Nanjing Third Yangtze River Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 648 meters. It was completed and opened to traffic in October 2005. It is the world’s first arc-shaped steel cable tower cable-stayed bridge and the only one to win the “24th International Bridge Gustav Lindenthal Medal”, the 7th Zhan Tianyou Award of China Civil Engineering, the second prize of the National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology, and the gold medal of National Prize for Engineering and Construction Quality.
