Nanjing Second Yangtze River Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 628 meters. It was completed and opened to traffic in March 2001. It enjoys the reputation of being the largest cable-stayed bridge in China and the largest steel cable-stayed bridge in the world.
The project won the second prize of the National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology, the 3rd Zhan Tianyou Award of China Civil Engineering, the Gold Medal of National Quality Project Award, and the first "China's Top Ten Bridges", etc.
