From June 23 to June 26, Liu Yiqi, SHICO Chairman, led a team to Uganda for work docking. During the visit, they visited the Ugandan Presidential Palace, relevant ministries and state-owned enterprises in Uganda.

At the Ugandan Presidential Palace, Liu Yiqi reported to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on the development of HCIG’s international business and the work plan for implementing the “Implementation Plan for the Construction of the China-Africa Economic and Trade In-depth Cooperation Pilot Zone.” Liu Yiqi said that Uganda was the guest country of the first China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo. As the largest foreign economic enterprise in Hunan Province and the chairman unit of the Hunan Foreign Economic Cooperation Enterprise Association, SHICO would strive to contribute to the deepening of economic and trade cooperation between Hunan and Uganda.

President Museveni expressed his appreciation for HCIG’s achievements in cooperation with Africa. He pointed out that China and African countries were truly mutually beneficial and win-win partnerships. He welcomed HCIG and Hunan enterprises to actively participate in Uganda’s economic construction. The Ugandan government would provide a better business environment for enterprises to invest and develop in Uganda.

During their stay in Uganda, Liu Yiqi and his delegation also visited relevant ministries and central enterprises in Uganda. They had in-depth exchanges on specific cooperation matters and achieved expected results.

Relevant personnel from HCIG, Hunan No. 2 Engineering Co., LTD, and relevant persons in charge of SHICO’s Kenya Office attended the relevant activities.
