Since the construction of the Rajshahi Surface Water Treatment Plant project in Bangladesh started in July last year, the project’s progress has been continuously updated, and the construction progress has exceeded 20%. The main engineering content of the project includes the construction of water intakes, conventional treatment plants, treated water transmission trunks, booster pump stations, and primary and secondary water distribution networks. After the project is completed, it will effectively solve the problem of safe water use in the Rajshahi area and promote local economic and social development, and improve people’s livelihood.

At the construction site of the Rajshahi Surface Water Treatment Plant project in Bangladesh, more than 400 Chinese and Bangladeshi employees are working hard on the construction front. Excavators, cranes, and other large mechanical equipment are being precisely hoisted and transferred, presenting a busy and orderly picture. As the pile foundation construction work is underway, the project team is scientifically planning, optimizing construction time, and rationally allocating resources to overcome unfavorable factors such as the long rainy season, ensuring the continuity of construction work.

This factory, which is truly the “source of life,” contains expectations for the water supply security of the citizens of Rajshahi. So far, the project department has successfully completed the temporary construction of the water treatment plant, the first phase of the water plant, and the sand backfilling of the booster pump station site. Meanwhile, the project department has obtained the construction permit for the 6KM water pipeline authorized by the owner, which has injected an “accelerator” for the overall on-time delivery of the project. In the next stage, the project department will closely follow the project’s high-quality performance goals, boost morale, and go all out in the next construction work to better ensure that the established goals are achieved with high quality and high efficiency.
