On the morning of August 8, local time, the site handover ceremony of the China-aided Algeria Youth Cultural Palace project was held in Baraki, Algiers Province. Soraya Mouloudji, Minister of Culture and Art of Algeria, and Li Jian, Chinese Ambassador to Algeria, attended and witnessed the handover ceremony of the China-aided Algeria Youth Cultural Palace site. Chen Zhong, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Algeria, the Mayor of Baraki, the Director of the Forward-looking Research and Information Department of the Ministry of Culture and Art of Algeria, the Director of the Cooperation and Exchange Department, the Director of the Major Project Management Bureau, the Governor’s representative of Algiers Province, and the Chairman of the Baraki People’s Assembly attended.
Li Bilei, Deputy General Manager of SHICO, signed the site handover certificate on behalf of SHICO with the Algerian Cultural Project Management Bureau. The signing of the site handover certificate marks the official launch of the project and the entry into the construction preparation stage. After the project is completed, it will become a landmark cultural and sports activity center in Algeria.
The project is located in Baraki, south of Algiers, the capital of Algeria, with a total land area of 98,600 square meters and a total construction area of 30,300 square meters. The project construction content includes multi-functional theaters, cultural and art galleries, gymnasiums, swimming pools, kindergartens, youth hostels, administrative offices and auxiliary equipment rooms and other ancillary facilities.
