Recently, SHICO Southeast Asia Regional Division of HCIG and Bestall Water Conservancy Company have made continuous breakthroughs in their "going global" efforts. They have successfully signed an EPC contract with local company SYSTEM PROTECTION & MAINTENANCE SDN.BHD. on TNB's 275/132/33kV substation project in southern Terengganu state. This project is HCIG's first substation EPC project in the Southeast Asian market.
The project is located in the southern part of Terengganu State, Malaysia, with a total construction period of 29 months. The project mainly includes the design, civil construction, equipment procurement, installation, and commissioning of 275kV AIS, 132kV AIS substations, and 33kV GIS substations. After the project is completed, it will improve the overall power transmission quality and grid safety and stability in the region, ensure power transmission in the local and surrounding areas, and further promote local economic development.
The successful bid for this project marks another important business achievement in Malaysia after winning the bid for the 45MW hydropower EPC project in Pahang this year, which is of great significance for HCIG to further consolidate its competitive advantage in the field of power engineering in the Southeast Asian market, improve its operating results and deepen its brand image.
