In October 2016, HNCEG invested 2 million Sri Lanka Rupee (approximately 100,000 RMB) in the Sri Lanka C11 Project Department to build 20 bus shelters along the project site, which has been well received favorable comments from the local government and residents.
The C11 project undertaken by SHICO is located in the central mountainous area of Sri Lanka, connecting Kandy and Nuwara Eliya, the two most important cities in Central Province. As an island country, Sri Lanka has a tropical monsoon climate, with only rainy and dry seasons in a year. Rainfall during the rainy season is very heavy, concentrated, and sudden. Considering that the bus stops along the project site are poorly designed and there is no place for local people to rest or take shelter from the rain, the project department funded the construction of bus shelters in places with many residents along the project site, which provided great convenience for the local people to wait for the bus and take shelter from the rain. It has also been highly praised by the local government, and the local society and people are also very grateful for it. The local government also specially spray-painted the logo donated by “HNCEG” on the bus shelter.
During the local construction process of more than two years, the project department actively integrated into local social life and participated in social welfare undertakings, making HNCEG’s image of a “credible and responsible” large enterprise increasingly popular in the local people.
