The last week of October every year is the annual Mongolian Road Festival celebration. This year marks the 94th anniversary of the Mongolian Road Festival and the 15th anniversary of the Mongolian Road Association. The Mongolian ET Coal Mine Road Project Department is located in Erdenetsagaan, Sükhbaatar Province, Mongolia. The project department organized the celebration together with the owners, ET Mining Ltd., Eastern Logistics Ltd, and Angad Arvijikh Ltd, the design supervisor.
The project department held friendly basketball matches, tug-of-war matches and children’s painting competitions at the Erdenetsagaan County Stadium with owner representatives, design supervision representatives and subcontractor representatives. Each participating unit also organized its own team and invited the resident of Erdenetsagaan County to actively participate in the competition. The participating team members fully carried forward the sportsmanship spirit of friendship first and competition second. Through the social competition, all project staff and the resident of Erdenetsagaan County have deepened mutual understanding. The project department explained the road construction situation to the local resident and organized children from Erdenetsagaan County to hold a painting competition with the theme of “The Road in My Heart.”
Owner representatives and design supervision representatives also expressed their sincere gratitude to all participating units for this celebration. Local resident expressed their support for the on-site work of the project and hoped that the road could be completed as soon as possible to better serve the local economic development and construction.
The Mongolian ET Coal Mine Road Project is a part of the Mongolian government’s road planning. The project starts from the ET coal mine in Erdenetsagaan, Sükhbaatar Province, Mongolia and ends at the Bichigt Zuun Port in Sükhbaatar Province. The total length of the road is 100.7 kilometers, including 1.08 kilometers of county roads and three bridges.
