From September 19 to 26, Cheng Changming and Tang Chaogang, external directors of SHICO, went to Malaysia and Bangladesh to conduct research and instructions for the branches and project departments. They visited overseas employees, took a deep look inside the production and operation situation of overseas institutions (projects), existing problems and difficulties, the subsequent work ideas and suggestions for SHICO and put forward constructive suggestions on the development of overseas institutions (projects).
During their stay in Malaysia, the research team visited the branch, the site of the 7.5MW photovoltaic power station project in Tawau city and the owner of the 44.6MW hydroelectric power station project, and conducted in-depth exchanges with overseas employees and partners. For the next development of the branch, the research team suggested that the focus should be on standardizing the management of projects under construction, developing teams and accumulating resources through project management. It is necessary to make full use of the HCIG's resources as a whole, to work well with relevant company in the surrounding regional market layout, to seek survival and development, to vigorously control and prevent risks, and to lead the team in seeking long-term development.
During their stay in Bangladesh, the research team visited the branch site and the Rajshahi surface water treatment plant and held in-depth exchanges with the management team. For the next development of the branch, the research team suggested that they should take the projects under construction as the supporting point, work well in the medium and long-term development planning of the branch, gradually enrich the relevant professionals, build a learning team, fully tap the market opportunities, and deepen the market in Bangladesh and the surrounding regions. At the Rajshahi surface water treatment plant project department, the research team took a deep look inside the construction progress and the surrounding market environment, conducted research and guidance on key work such as project design optimization, construction scheme and process optimization, procurement planning, target cost calculation, work area assessment, and project management manual preparation, and required the project to carry out continuous and refined management to ensure the realization of the expected objectives.
The research has promoted the external directors to gain a more comprehensive comprehension of the SHICO's international business development and market context, and enhanced the mutual understanding between the external directors and overseas institutions (projects). It is helpful for the board of directors to better play the core functions of "formulating strategy, making decisions and mitigating risks", in order to chart the group's growth trajectory, steer its direction and avert missteps in pursuit of high-quality development.
