During the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, SHICO Tanzanian office successfully signed a contract for the “Upgrading of Iringa (Ipogolo)-Kilolo Regional Road (33.61KM) to Bitumen Standard” project in Tanzania. Innocent Bash, Minister of Works in Tanzania, Halima Dendego Governor of Iringa Province and Mohamed Besta, Director of Highway Bureau, attended and witnessed the signing.
The project is located in Iringa Province, Tanzania, and is funded by the World Bank. Once completed, it will greatly improve the transportation and infrastructure, and effectively contribute to the overall socio-economic development of the region and Tanzania as a whole.
SHICO entered the Tanzanian market in 2004 and has successfully implemented various projects involving housing construction, highways, and water supply. This signing will actively promote the SHICO’s continued operation and high-quality development in Tanzania as well as its expansion in the East African regional market.
