On September 26, Minister Counselor Chen Zhiyang, Economic and Commercial Office of Chinese Embassy in New Zealand, led a delegation to visit SHICO New Zealand for inspection.
Chen Zhiyang and his delegation heard the reports on historical development and international business of SHICO, understood business condition of projects under construction in SHICO New Zealand, as well as plans in the fields of new energy and industry and trade interconnection. They highly appreciated the SHICO New Zealand practice of fully use of local resources to build high-quality houses and its contribution to local community.
He stressed that SHICO shall fully integrate New Zealand’s development plan, further explore the potential in the field of new energy, guarantee compliance management, control the risks, ensure safety production, and effectively and timely respond to eliminate various potential safety hazard, to realize sustainable and high-quality development of SHICO in New Zealand. He said that the embassy will keep helping China-invested enterprises on the cooperation and exchange in New Zealand and promoting steady development of economic and commercial relationship between China and New Zealand.
Chen Zhiyang and his delegation also held an on-site visit to the DHB affordable housing project (Wirihana) and understood the detailed project management pattern, project progress, construction technology and house selling.
Director Mark Peldmanis and Project Manager Eli Ghalayini of Avant Group, developer of the DHB affordable housing project (Wirihana), and relevant leaders of SHICO New Zealand and International Cooperation Company of Sino-Hunan Capital Holding Co., Ltd. attended the inspection.
