From March 30 to April 3, Liu Yiqi, SHICO Chairman, led a team to Uzbekistan for work docking. During this period, he visited the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of Energy, the Tashkent Government and the Surxondaryo Government of Uzbekistan. Su Dongfang, External Director Convener of the Company, and Liu Qiyuan, the Consultant of the Company, participated in the relevant activities.

When visiting the Prime Minister’s Office of Uzbekistan, Liu Yiqi said that Chinese President Xi Jinping hosted a symposium on promoting the rise of the central region in the new era in Changsha, Hunan in March, requiring Hunan to deeply integrate into the joint construction of the “Belt and Road,” actively connect with the New Eurasian Continental Bridge and the Western Land-Sea Corridor, build a free trade pilot zone with high standards, and create more high-level opening-up and cooperation platforms. Uzbekistan was an important country in the joint construction of the “Belt and Road” and an important hub for the New Eurasian Continental Bridge and the Western Land-Sea Corridor. As the largest foreign trade enterprise in Hunan Province and the chairman unit of the Hunan Foreign Economic Cooperation Enterprises Association, HCIG responded to and served the national strategy at the first time, and organized a delegation to Uzbekistan to carry out economic and trade exchanges and seek win-win cooperation.

During their stay in Uzbekistan, Liu Yiqi and his delegation also visited relevant ministries and state governments of Uzbekistan. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on specific project cooperation matters and reached a consensus.
